Surrogacy

What does surrogacy cost in California, USA?

US$190,000–240,000

West Coast Surrogacy · estimated average total

California-based provider estimate, not a fixed quote. Your arrangement and insurance change the total; parentage needs legal review.

Price conditions & source

West Coast Surrogacy publishes an estimated average total, not a guaranteed California package price. Request an itemised budget for IVF/embryo creation, donor needs, agency fees, carrier compensation, legal work, insurance, pregnancy and newborn care. California gestational-surrogacy arrangements require separate independent lawyers and an executed agreement before medication or transfer, with a parentage procedure. Citizenship and recognition in your home country need individual legal review. No birth outcome is guaranteed.

A little more detail, when you need it.

What should I check before choosing a clinic?
  • Current licensing and inspection status.
  • Live-birth reporting by age and treatment stage—not a headline “success rate”.
  • Laboratory standards, specimen identification and storage safeguards.
  • Written inclusions, exclusions, cancellation and refund terms.
  • Independent clinical and country-specific legal review.

Which country could fit my plans?

Eligibility depends on your family structure, treatment and the countries involved. These are review points, not recommendations or approval to proceed.

What evidence does IVFToday use?

We distinguish published facts from provider marketing and flag what still needs confirmation.

These are population-level facts, not IVFToday outcomes or an estimate of your chance of success.

A few questions, answered.

Can I access fertility treatment in another country?

Treatment access, parentage, citizenship and return travel depend on the countries involved and your circumstances. Confirm the current rules before paying a deposit or starting treatment.

How should I compare clinics and programmes?

Compare licensing, reported outcomes, laboratory standards, the exact treatment scope, exclusions, refund terms, legal steps and total likely cost. A headline package price is not enough.

How long can an international journey take?

Timing depends on diagnostics, donor or carrier matching, treatment, pregnancy, legal work and documents. Ask each provider for a stage-by-stage timeline and the assumptions behind it.

What does a guidance consultation include?

The consultation organises your priorities, open questions and the professional reviews you may need. Scope and any fees are confirmed before you decide whether to continue.

Can I request help after choosing a clinic?

Yes. You can request a structured review of your current plan, documents and unanswered questions. Clinical and legal conclusions must come from appropriately qualified professionals.
